October 2008 Stefano Pierre Beruschi is an independent fashion designer. Curriculum Vitae (pdf format) Stefano is a 2008 Graduate of Central Saint Martins University of the Arts in London England. The five-year program has earned him a First-Class Honors, Bachelor of Arts Degree in Men’s Fashion Design. During his time of study, Stefano has done projects for companies such as Paul Smith, Armani Jeans, and Dunhill Golf. He has now earned acceptance into the prestigious Master Degree Program at University of Central Saint Martins. The BA degree program allowed him the opportunity to be employed in the industry for one full year, which he completed in 2007. His work experience was with two acclaimed British brands with international recognition; Burberry, and Vivienne Westwood. With the Burberry design team, he had the privilege of working and designing for the very talented Christopher Bailey. He gained knowledge of how a global luxury brand functions as a business, and how Burberry competes in the international fashion market. Following his completion of the seven-month Burberry contract, he began working as a design assistant for Vivienne Westwood MAN. At Vivienne Westwood he learned a very different approach to the business. Westwood, known for iconic innovation and distinctive designs, gave him insight into how a smaller couture house thrives and competes. In May of 2006 he participated in the COOL ASIA 2006 Fashion Show at the prestigious Omote Sando Hills Fashion Center in Tokyo Japan. The event, which was organized by the Prime Minister of Japan, included Asian Ambassadors as models for promotion of the Cool Asian campaign. Mr. Beruschi was the designer for Malaysia. He was designing for Mr. Kenneth Yeang, Architect, and Professor of Architecture at Cambridge University, England. The challenge was to create unique business clothing called 'Bio-Clothing’. The concept was derived from bioclimatic architecture where a low-energy building structure responds more effectively to the four seasons of the year. Mr. Beruschi is
available for contract, consultation, and design work from his
office in London. |
